Rasha Amin’s Portfolio – Art That Speaks Through Emotion
Have you ever looked at a painting and felt like it understood you?
Not just looked nice or fit your wall’s aesthetic — but actually felt like it spoke a language you didn’t know you needed to hear?
Hi, I’m Rasha Amin, and this is exactly what I try to create — art that isn’t just about visuals. It’s about emotion, memory, and mood.
In this post, I’m going to walk you through my portfolio — not just to show you the work, but to share why I made it, what it means, and what you might feel when you look at it.

🌿 Why I Create Art That Feels
I don’t follow rules in art. I follow feelings. That might sound weird, but I’ve never been drawn to perfectly clean lines or overly technical execution.
What moves me is texture. Mess. Space. Silence. Shadow.
I’m inspired by:
Nature: especially forests, stones, dried leaves, and fog.
Memories: not the clear kind — the blurry, emotional ones.
Emotions: especially those we can’t explain out loud.
That’s what you’ll find in my portfolio — pieces that speak softly, but hit deeply.
🧵 A Glimpse Inside My Portfolio
Each piece in my portfolio tells a bit of a story. Not always linear. Not always clear. But honest.
Let me give you a few personal highlights...
🎨 1. “Stillness Isn’t Silent”
A layered canvas using dry brush and paper collage.
Inspired by a foggy morning walk where nothing moved — but everything felt alive.
🧠 Emotion: Calm, eerie, safe, and heavy — all at once.
🎨 2. “She Remembered Too Much”
Mixed media on raw canvas.
Used handmade paper, acrylic, and a bit of torn journal text.
🧠 Emotion: Sadness that you’ve kept hidden for years — but finally let out.
🎨 3. “What We Leave Behind”
Acrylic with gold thread and cracked clay.
This one was about grief, but not in a loud way. More like quiet acceptance.
🧠 Emotion: Loss, but softened by time.

📸 The Process – Imperfect on Purpose
I don’t sketch much. I start with a feeling, not a plan.
Sometimes I mess up a canvas five times before I love it. Sometimes I stop halfway and leave it for months.
I believe art doesn’t need to be finished to be full.
It’s not about perfection.
It’s about presence.
💬 What People Say
I’ve been lucky to connect with people from different corners of the world — and what they often say is:
“Your art makes me feel understood.”
“It’s like you painted my thoughts.”
“I didn’t know how to explain this emotion until I saw your work.”
Honestly, I can’t think of a better compliment.
